Holy Cow...

OK. So it's been a month without a post. I've got very little time. Actually, I've got no time. But I'll write something.

Mike and I went to Kansas City over St Patrick's Day weekend for his friend's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding at the base of the WWI Memorial. I got to meet some of Mike's friends from his time in graduate school (University of Kansas) and beyond. Good people - all of them. And they had nothing but nice things to say about Mike. He's such a great guy!

We ate at a few notable places while there: We had BBQ at Oklahoma Joe's (my favorite) and the "World Famous" Arthur Bryant's. Oh. My. Gosh. I love BBQ. We just don't have anything in Iowa that comes close to the caliber of the places in KC. We also went to a sandwich place that was initially run by hippies called Planet Sub - the slogan is "Welcome to Planet Sub – where it’s better cuz we’re baked." Very subtle...

Mike and I visited Moon Marble Company where we watched Bruce make a couple one-of-a-kind marbles. This place is fascinating to say the least. I recommend that anyone passing through Bonner Springs stop by on a Saturday to watch a couple demonstrations and take home a unique marble.

That's all I've got for now. A rush job... a covert mission... maybe I'll add pics later.
