Holy CRAP! It's been 2 months!!!
Sadly, all I have to say is... I really don't like Hazelnut coffee.
I am afraid that a national trend may be occurring in that secretaries and others in charge of making coffee for large groups of people are substituting flavored coffees for plain coffee. That makes me sad. I think the definition of "black" coffee should be adjusted to include "no flavors". That way, when I say I take my coffee black, I will not receive "French Vanilla Nut" because it's Gevalia's flavor of the month. A flavor detracts from the "black-ness" of the coffee, if you will.
Maybe it's just that "black" used to mean something - "I take my coffee black." And all the college kids would would open their mouths in awe, because they were still weening themselves off the dozen or so sugars and creamers. But now - with the advent of flavored coffees - the kids are learning to take their coffee black, but it's full of vanilla flavoring (or whatever). It's a sissy thing to do.
However, the most important thing is... I don't want flavors in my coffee! I want it black. I shouldn't have to distinguish betwwen black vanilla or black hazelnut or black highland grog. I just want black coffee.
